MARIA GRAZIA ROSIN
Maria Grazia Rosin was born in Cortina d'Ampezzo but she lived and worked in Venice. She carries out more detailed research and studies concerning her passion for art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. In 1992 she discovered a new passion: the art of blown glass and right after she started collaborating with the great masters of Murano, experimenting shapes, colors and transparencies. Maria Grazia Rosin found in the glass the most suitable material to express her rich figurative imagination. The fluid mass of glass allows to transform her drawings into concrete forms, inspired by her admiration for underwater world (such as filamentous jellyfish and polyps with colored tentacles). Today, glass is at the center of its research and experimentation work. The work of Maria Grazia Rosin is part of the collections at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York; the Kunst Museum in Dusseldorf and also at the Murano Glass Museum.
